TNPSC Mock Test 2026: Practice for Group 1, 2 and 4

Full-length and sectional TNPSC mock tests for Group 1, Group 2 and Group 4 in the current pattern.

A TNPSC mock test is a timed practice paper in the pattern of a Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exam. Group 1 prelims, the Group 2 and 2A prelims and Group 4 all use a 200-question, 300-mark objective paper of three hours, so the same practice habits serve all three. Each question carries 1.5 marks and there is no negative marking, which means speed and attempt rate decide a large part of your score.

This page explains which mocks to take for each exam, when to take them and how to turn every score into a revision plan.

Official TNPSC Mock Test

TNPSC does not publish full-length practice papers for its OMR-based Group 1, Group 2 or Group 4 exams. For its computer-based tests, TNPSC's instructions to candidates state that a mock test of the CBT interface is available on the Commission's website and can be practised any number of times. It shows how the on-screen exam works, not the full exam content. You can read the official TNPSC CBT instructions, and check the official TNPSC website for the CBT mock test and previous year question papers. For full-length practice in the exam pattern, you need a separate test series such as the ones on Testkart.

How to Use and Analyse Mock Tests

  1. Foundation phase: Take topic tests after each unit and revise wrong answers the same day.

  2. Building phase: Add two sectional tests a week, starting with Tamil, so the qualifying mark is secure early.

  3. Final phase: Take two full mocks a week at 9:30 AM, the usual exam slot, and practise shading the OMR sheet within time.

After each mock, sort questions into three groups: wrong answers (note the concept in an error log), slow questions (find a faster method) and skipped questions you could have solved (the cheapest marks to recover). Track your Tamil score, total score and time left after every test; a steady rise over five mocks means more than one high score.
