TG EAPCET (TS EAMCET) Cut-off: Qualifying Marks, Ranks
The TG EAPCET cut-off, still searched as the TS EAMCET cut-off, works at two levels. First there is a qualifying mark you need to get a rank at all. Then, during counselling, each college and branch closes at a different rank for each category and gender, which is the closing rank or last rank.
This page gives the official qualifying marks, the marks versus rank bands JNTUH published, and indicative closing ranks from the official TG EAPCET 2025 final phase last rank statement. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, seat matrix and the number of candidates, so treat these figures as a benchmark only.
TG EAPCET qualifying marks
Category | Qualifying marks (normalized, out of 160) |
|---|---|
All categories except SC and ST | 25% of maximum marks, which is 40 marks |
SC and ST | No minimum qualifying mark; admission limited to reserved seats |
To take part in engineering counselling, you also need 45% (OC) or 40% (other categories) in your Intermediate group subjects.
Normalized marks versus rank
JNTUH released this table with the 2026 results, based on candidates' performance in the 2025 and 2024 tests. Labels follow the official table.
Normalized marks | E rank band 2025 | AP rank band 2025 | E rank band 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
80 and above | Below 2,613 | Below 2,726 | Below 3,706 |
75 and above | 2,614 to 3,995 | 2,727 to 4,628 | 3,707 to 5,459 |
70 and above | 3,996 to 6,104 | 4,629 to 7,182 | 5,460 to 8,076 |
65 and above | 6,105 to 9,226 | 7,183 to 10,536 | 8,077 to 12,047 |
60 and above | 9,227 to 14,418 | 10,537 to 15,011 | 12,048 to 18,355 |
55 and above | 14,419 to 24,028 | 15,012 to 21,744 | 18,356 to 29,789 |
50 and above | 24,029 to 44,121 | 21,745 to 32,151 | 29,790 to 53,970 |
45 and above | 44,122 to 82,343 | 32,152 to 46,572 | 53,971 to 1,02,397 |
40 and above | 82,344 to 1,35,462 | 46,573 to 61,764 | 1,02,398 to 1,64,862 |
The same normalized score gave a better E stream rank in 2025 than in 2024, which shows how much bands can move between years.
Indicative closing ranks, 2025 final phase
These closing ranks are taken from the official TG EAPCET 2025 Last Rank Statement (final phase) for a few well-known colleges. They are for the OC category only and are indicative, since every category, gender, college and branch has its own closing rank, and the 2026 figures may differ.

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Gandipet | CSE | 2,053 | 2,471 |
Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad | CSE | 2,292 | 2,358 |
OU College of Engineering, Hyderabad | CSE | 2,547 | 2,547 |
Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bachupally | CSE | 4,184 | 4,546 |

Category-wise figures for every college, including BC, SC, ST and EWS columns, are in the official TG EAPCET 2025 final phase last rank statement. The 2026 phase-wise statements were not listed on the counselling website when this page was written.
What affects the cut-off
Paper difficulty: A tougher paper lowers scores, so the same rank needs fewer marks.
Number of candidates: More candidates in your score range push ranks for every mark further down.
Seats and branches: New seats or branches in popular colleges can relax closing ranks, and cuts can tighten them.
Category and gender: Each reservation category has separate closing ranks for boys and girls.
Counselling phase: Closing ranks move between the first, second and final phase as candidates join, withdraw or slide.
How to set your target
Pick the colleges and branches you want, find their last two years of closing ranks for your category, and use the marks versus rank table to convert that rank into a score. Then aim for a clear margin above that score rather than a bare pass.
