UPTET Study Notes 2026: What to Include and How to Revise

Section-wise UPTET notes for quick revision of pedagogy, languages and subjects.

Why UPTET Study Notes Matter

Good UPTET study notes turn a wide syllabus into something you can revise in a few days. Each paper has 150 questions across pedagogy, two languages and school-level subjects, and the same pedagogy ideas reappear in every section. Notes that link those ideas together save more time than any other revision tool.

This page explains what to put in your notes for each section of Paper 1 and Paper 2, how to organise them, a revision schedule, and how notes fit with mock tests. The structure follows the 2026 UPTET pattern conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC).

How to Organise Your Notes

  • One page per topic: If a topic runs past a page, you are copying the book rather than summarising it.

  • Pedagogy cross-links: Mark where a theory, such as Piaget's stages, applies in language, maths or EVS teaching.

  • Formula and rule sheets: Keep maths formulas and grammar rules on separate sheets for last-week revision.

  • Error log: After every mock, add the concept behind each wrong answer. This becomes your most useful revision file.

Revision Schedule

  1. Same day: Write notes on what you studied while it is fresh.

  2. Weekly: Read the week's notes once and the error log twice.

  3. Monthly: Re-read all notes for one paper section and test yourself with a sectional test.

  4. Final two weeks: Revise only from notes and the error log, alongside full-length mocks.

Reliable Sources for Notes

Build subject notes from NCERT and Uttar Pradesh board textbooks for the class levels each paper covers: Classes 1 to 5 for Paper 1 and Classes 6 to 8 for Paper 2. Use your D.El.Ed or B.Ed material for pedagogy. Check the section list against the latest notification on the UPESSC website
