Campus Placements

Wipro

Wipro is a campus recruitment and aptitude assessment used to hire graduate trainees, widely practiced by students preparing for campus placement and corporate hiring assessments.

Wipro fresher hiring runs through several programmes, and the one most engineering graduates mean is Wipro Elite, whose online route is the Elite National Talent Hunt (Elite NTH). Many candidates and coaching sites call the same online test NLTH. This page explains how Wipro hires freshers, who can apply, what the online assessment contains and how to prepare for it.

Wipro does not publish one national schedule or a public topic-wise syllabus. Dates and rules are announced drive by drive, through Wipro Careers, your college placement cell or the invitation Wipro sends you. Where a detail comes from Wipro's own pages, we say so. Where it comes from candidate reports, we label it tentative.

Eligibility summary

The last Wipro NTH page we could review was written for the 2023 batch. It asked for a full-time B.E. or B.Tech degree (or a five-year integrated M.E. or M.Tech), at least 60% or 6.0 CGPA in graduation, and at least 60% in Class 10 and Class 12. Candidate reports for the current cycle repeat the 60% rule and say zero active backlogs are allowed at application. Treat the current notice as final. The full breakdown is on the Wipro Elite NTH eligibility page.

How to apply

  1. Find the right drive: Check Wipro Careers, the Early Careers page and your college placement cell for an open Elite or NTH drive for your batch.

  2. Register on the official portal: Use only Wipro's official recruitment links. Registration is free.

  3. Keep your documents ready: Mark sheets for Class 10, Class 12 and each semester, a government photo ID and a working email and phone number.

  4. Watch your email: The online assessment invitation names the sections, the duration and the proctoring rules.

Do not pay anyone for a Wipro registration or a test slot. Wipro says it does not charge a fee at any stage, and it asks candidates to report suspicious offers to [email protected] rather than send resumes to that address. You can read more on the Wipro fraud awareness page.

Online assessment pattern

Wipro's 2023 NTH page described an 80-minute online assessment covering verbal, analytical, quantitative and written communication skills, followed by coding. Candidate reports for 2025 and 2026 describe three blocks: aptitude, a written essay and a coding round with two problems. Some drives are reported to use a shorter aptitude-and-essay format. The exact format for your drive is in your invitation.

Reported formats differ in the number of aptitude questions and the total time, so the detailed table sits on the Wipro Elite NTH exam pattern page. Older pages may still show a single fixed pattern, so follow your invite.

Syllabus summary

Wipro does not publish a topic-wise syllabus. The working checklist, built from reported question areas, is:

Section

Important topics

Quantitative aptitude

Percentages, profit and loss, ratios, averages, interest, time and work, speed and distance, permutations, probability

Logical reasoning

Series, coding-decoding, blood relations, directions, syllogisms, arrangements

Verbal ability

Reading comprehension, grammar, sentence correction, para-jumbles, vocabulary

Written communication

One short essay on a general topic

Coding

Arrays, strings, sorting, searching, hashing, recursion, basic data structures

The full topic list is on the Wipro Elite NTH syllabus page.

Selection process

  1. Online assessment: Aptitude, written communication and, in most reported formats, coding.

  2. Business discussion or interview: Wipro's 2023 page named a business discussion with the Wipro team. Candidate reports describe a technical round, often with a project discussion, and an HR round, sometimes combined.

  3. Letter of intent and offer letter: Sent by the recruitment team to selected candidates.

Salary and role

For the 2023 NTH cycle, Wipro listed the designation as Project Engineer with joining compensation of Rs. 3,50,000 and tenure-linked performance bonuses. Reports for the current cycle put the Elite package at about Rs. 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum, with Turbo reported higher. These current figures are not official. Your letter of intent is the only reliable source for your own package.

How to prepare

Build the three blocks separately. Spend the first weeks on quantitative and logical reasoning basics, add a daily reading and short essay habit for verbal and written communication, and start timed coding practice in one language early. The coding round is where many candidates lose the most marks, so do not leave it for the last fortnight.

Cut-off and shortlisting

Wipro does not publish a cut-off for the online assessment. Some third-party pages quote sectional percentages or percentiles, but they cite no source and disagree with each other. Use them only as a loose benchmark and aim for a clear margin, and if you take timed tests on Testkart, compare your own sectional scores with that margin rather than a quoted figure. The Wipro NTH cut-off page explains how shortlisting works and how to set a practical target. For official updates, always return to Wipro Early Careers.
