Wipro Elite NTH 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Wipro Elite NTH eligibility depends on your degree, your marks in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation, your backlog position and your education gap. Wipro sets the exact rules in each drive notice, so the criteria here are a guide and the notice for your batch is final.

The last Wipro NTH page we could review was written for the 2023 batch. We list its criteria as the official baseline, then show where candidate reports for the current cycle differ. Anything from candidate reports is tentative until you see your own notice.

Educational qualification

Degree and branch

Wipro's 2023 NTH page asked for a full-time B.E. or B.Tech degree. A five-year integrated M.E. or M.Tech was accepted, but not other M.E. or M.Tech routes. Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, and Agriculture and Food Technology branches were excluded. The degree had to be completed within 4 years of starting the programme, or 5 years for integrated courses. Open or distance schooling was accepted only for Class 10 and Class 12.

Marks

The 2023 page required at least 60% or 6.0 CGPA in graduation, or the equivalent under your university's rules, and at least 60% in Class 10 and Class 12. Candidate reports for the current cycle add that each level is checked separately and that rounding up is not allowed. This is unverified, so work out your exact percentage and keep your university's conversion rule ready.

Backlogs and education gap

This is the area where sources disagree most. Wipro's 2023 page allowed one backlog at the time of the assessment, to be cleared by the 8th semester. Candidate reports for 2026 say zero active backlogs at application, with cleared backlogs generally acceptable. If you have a backlog, do not rely on either version. Read your drive notice and ask your placement cell before you register.

For education gaps, the 2023 page allowed up to 3 years between Class 10 and the start of graduation and none during graduation. Reports for the current cycle mention a stricter gap of about 1 year. Keep gap-year documents ready either way.

Age limit

The Wipro NTH page we reviewed did not state an age limit. No category-wise age relaxation is mentioned, so there is no relaxation table for this exam. Check your drive notice in case an age condition is added.

Nationality and other conditions

  • Citizenship: Indian citizens, and holders of a PIO or OCI card, were eligible in 2023. Nationals of Bhutan and Nepal had to submit a citizenship certificate.

  • Previous Wipro process: Candidates who had gone through a Wipro selection process in the last 3 months were not eligible. Re-registration was possible after 90 days, and Wipro decides whether to invite you again.

  • Full-time degree: Part-time, distance and correspondence degrees were not accepted for the graduation level.

Who may not be eligible

  • Below the marks cut: Falling short of 60% in any one level, even if the others are higher.

  • Excluded branches: Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, and Agriculture and Food Technology, as listed in 2023.

  • Gaps beyond the limit: Education gaps larger than the notice allows, or any gap during graduation.

  • Recent Wipro attempt: A Wipro selection process within the last 3 months.

Eligibility for other Wipro fresher programmes

Wipro's Early Careers page describes other programmes with different audiences. Turbo recruits from 46 premier institutes, STAR from the top 13 technical institutes, and WILP is for BCA and B.Sc. graduates. Wipro's university recruitment page listed WILP for the 2023 and 2024 graduating batches at the time we reviewed it, so check the current WILP notice if you are a BCA or B.Sc. student. Diploma holders can look at the School of IT Infrastructure Management. The full list is on the Wipro Early Careers page.

Fee and documents

Wipro says it charges no fee at any stage of recruitment. Keep your Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, all semester mark sheets, a photo ID and your resume ready. The Wipro fresher hiring overview explains how to apply and how to avoid fake offers. Practice on Testkart or any other site does not replace registration, so apply only through Wipro's official channels or your placement cell.
