Wipro Elite NTH 2026 Exam Pattern and Test Format
The Wipro Elite NTH exam pattern is an online, proctored assessment that tests aptitude, written communication and, in most reported formats, coding. Wipro does not publish one fixed pattern for every drive, so this page separates what Wipro itself has stated from what candidates report for recent drives.
The short version: the format you face is the one written in your invitation. Use the tables below to plan your time, and treat any question count or sectional timing as tentative until you see your own invite.
Table of Contents
Exam pattern at a glance
Stage | Format | Duration | Status of the information |
|---|---|---|---|
Online assessment | Aptitude, written communication, coding | 80 minutes (Wipro, 2023 NTH page) or about 128 minutes (candidate reports) | Differs by source and drive |
Interview or business discussion | Technical, business or HR discussion | Not published | Described in Wipro's 2023 page and by candidates |
Offer | Letter of intent, then offer letter | Not applicable | Wipro, 2023 NTH page |
What Wipro has stated officially
Wipro's NTH page for the 2023 batch described an 80-minute online assessment covering verbal, analytical, quantitative and written communication skills, followed by coding. Successful candidates moved to a business discussion with the Wipro team. Wipro did not publish question counts, marks per section or a marking scheme on that page.
Older pages may still show this 2023 description as the current pattern, so follow your invitation. You can read Wipro's own programme descriptions on the Wipro Early Careers page.
Reported formats for recent drives
Candidate reports for 2025 and 2026 describe two formats. These are not official, and they disagree on question counts, so use them only to shape your practice.
Three-block format
Test | Content | Reported time |
|---|---|---|
Aptitude | Quantitative, logical and verbal questions, with sectional timing | About 48 minutes |
Written communication | One essay | About 20 minutes |
Coding | Two problems in C, C++, Java or Python | About 60 minutes |
Total | – | About 128 minutes |
Reports of the number of aptitude questions range from about 36 to about 50, so do not plan around a fixed count.
Shorter format
Some reports describe a roughly 60-minute assessment with aptitude and an essay only, without coding. Whether your drive includes coding is stated in your invitation.
Marking scheme and negative marking
Wipro does not state marks per question or a negative marking rule on the pages we reviewed. Most candidate reports say there is no negative marking in the aptitude section, but one report mentions a penalty tied to language mistakes in the essay. This is unverified. Read the on-screen instructions before you start, and until you know otherwise, answer every question you can solve with reasonable confidence rather than guessing blindly. Marking rules on Testkart or any other practice platform may differ from Wipro's, so treat practice scores as indicative.
Reports also say that sections are timed separately and that you cannot return to a completed section. Treat both as likely but unconfirmed.
What the pattern means for you
Each block is separate: A strong coding score does not make up for a weak aptitude or essay result, so prepare all three.
Sectional timing punishes slow starts: Practise sections with a timer and move on from questions that take more than a minute or two.
Coding needs practice, not just reading: Two problems in about an hour leaves little room to look things up. Solve problems in one language every day.
The essay is short but scored: Plan a simple structure so you can write in 20 minutes without freezing on the topic.
Later stages
After the online assessment, Wipro's 2023 page named a business discussion, followed by a letter of intent and an offer letter. Candidate reports describe a technical interview with a project discussion and an HR interview, sometimes combined. Wipro does not publish the duration or scoring of these rounds.
Selection weightage
Wipro does not publish how assessment scores are weighted against interview performance, so there is no official final-merit formula. The sensible reading is that the assessment decides who is called for the next round and the interview decides the offer. Prepare for both.
Time management on test day
Block | Suggested approach |
|---|---|
Aptitude | Take easy questions first within each section and keep the last two minutes for review |
Essay | Spend 3 minutes planning, 14 minutes writing and 3 minutes checking grammar |
Coding | Solve the easier problem first, run sample cases, then attempt the second with the time left |
