Who is this for?
Teachers with an existing test series who need to add questions to it. If you haven't created a test series yet, start with How to Create a Test Series first.
Step 1: Open Your Test Item
Go to Test Series in the sidebar, find your series, and click Edit. This opens Manage Test Items. Click on the test item you want to add questions to (or + Add Test Items if you need a new one).
Step 2: Select or Add a Subject
Inside the test item, choose the Subject tab you want to add questions under, or click + Add Subject if you haven't created one yet.
Step 3: Choose How You Want to Add Questions
You have four options here:
+ Add Question — write a question manually (covered below).
Generate with AI — let Testkart generate questions for you based on the subject and topic.
Bulk Upload — upload multiple questions at once from a file.
Import — pull existing questions in from your Question Bank.
Step 4: Set the Question Type and Marks
If you're adding manually, choose the Question Type (for example, Single Correct MCQ), then set + Marks for a correct answer and − Marks for negative marking.
Step 5: Write the Question
Type your question into the Question Text box. The rich-text editor supports formatting, images, tables, and video, so you can format the question exactly as needed.
Step 6: Fill in Options and Mark the Correct Answer
Fill in the text for each answer option, then select the circle next to whichever option is correct.
Step 7: Save the Question
Click Save & Finish if you're done, or Save & Add Another to keep adding more questions to the same subject without leaving the form.
