ADRE Grade 3 Cut Off: Previous Year Category-wise Marks
The ADRE Grade 3 cut off is the lowest written exam score at which candidates in a category were shortlisted for the next stage of a particular post code. It is not one number. The State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-III Posts sets it separately for each post code (for example, HSSLC posts, HSSLC Science posts, graduate posts with a computer certificate) and for each category, including sub-categories such as RFW (reserved for women) and PwBD.
The figures below are from the written exam of September 2024, the last completed cycle, with results declared on 7 March 2025. They are reported figures compiled from the result release; verify them against the official result notice on the Assam government portal or the SEBA site. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, so treat these as benchmarks only and aim for a clear margin above them.

What the 2024 Figures Tell You
Cut-offs were high: the UR HSSLC cut-off was about 80 percent of the maximum, and the general graduate post code was close to 79 percent.
Post code matters: graduate posts that needed a computer certificate closed about 20 marks lower than the plain bachelor's degree post code, likely because fewer applicants held the extra certificate.
Driver posts were tight: the gap between categories was small, so almost every mark counted.
Limited history: only one completed Grade III cycle in this 150-question format has published cut-offs, so there is no reliable multi-year trend yet.
What Affects the Cut Off
Vacancies per post code: more posts usually mean a lower closing score.
Number of applicants: HSSLC and plain graduate posts attract the most candidates.
Paper difficulty: a harder GK or comprehension section pulls the cut-off down.
Negative marking: the 1/4 deduction lowers raw scores for candidates who guess heavily.
How to Set Your Target Score
Use the 2024 figures as a floor, not a target. For an unreserved HSSLC candidate, a mock score of 125 to 130 out of 150 gives a working margin; for the general graduate post code, aim for 145 or more out of 175. Track accuracy as well as attempts, since a wrong answer costs a quarter mark. Timed ADRE Grade 3 online tests on Testkart show your section-wise scores, so you can see which subject keeps you below target. and the Government of Assam portal for official result notices.
