AFMC Nursing Cut-off 2026: NEET Marks and Targets

The AFMC Nursing cut-off works differently from most exams. DGAFMS does not publish a cut-off or a shortlisting score for the B.Sc Nursing course. The only threshold published in advance is the NEET UG qualifying cut-off set by NTA, which keeps you eligible but does not decide who is called for screening.

This page shows the NEET UG qualifying marks for 2026 and 2025, explains what moves the real shortlisting score, and helps you set a target for NEET and ToGIGE. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, seats and the number of applicants, so treat the figures below as benchmarks only.

These marks are as reported after the NEET UG results; the 2026 figures were reported for the re-conducted NEET UG 2026. Check them on the NEET UG website of NTA. They are the minimum to qualify NEET UG, not the score that gets you shortlisted for AFMC Nursing.

Why there is no published AFMC Nursing cut-off

Shortlisting is done on NEET UG scores against 220 seats, and the number called depends on how many candidates apply and how many seats are available. The last score shortlisted is not published officially. Figures seen online are estimates or individual reports, not official data.

Trend

The NEET UG qualifying marks rose sharply in 2026 compared with 2025 for every category. The percentile rule did not change; the marks at each percentile did, which reflects how the 2026 paper and the score distribution differed. A higher qualifying line does not by itself tell you the shortlisting score, but it signals that scores in general moved up.

What affects the cut-off

  • Paper difficulty: An easier NEET UG paper pushes scores, and the shortlisting line, upward.

  • Number of applicants: More eligible women applying for the same seats raises the score needed for a call.

  • Seats: The seat count has stayed at 220 in recent cycles; any change would move the line.

  • Later stages: Final merit also depends on ToGIGE and the interview, so a NEET score near the line can still be helped by strong screening performance, as reported.

How to set your target

  • Aim well above qualifying: Plan for a NEET UG score with a clear margin above your category's qualifying marks rather than a bare pass.

  • Set a ToGIGE benchmark: As a working target, not an official figure, aim for 32 or more correct answers out of 40 with no more than 3 wrong in your practice sets.

  • Track by section: Watch reasoning and English separately, because a weak section drags down a total quickly in a 40-question test.
