AFMC Nursing Syllabus 2026: ToGIGE and NEET Topics

The AFMC Nursing syllabus has two written parts. The first is NEET UG, whose Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus is notified every year. The second is ToGIGE, the Test of General Intelligence and General English that shortlisted candidates take during screening for the B.Sc Nursing course at the AFMS Colleges of Nursing.

The notification names ToGIGE but does not publish a topic-wise syllabus for it. The topic lists below are built from the test name, the reported pattern and the usual scope of reasoning and English tests. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list. This page covers the 2026 cycle and shows where to start, how the stages overlap and how to plan your weeks.

Key changes to know

  • NEET replaced the old entrance test: From 2022, NEET UG scores are used for shortlisting. The earlier entrance test had separate General English, General Intelligence and Science sections.

  • ToGIGE is the only test of its own: It checks reasoning and English. Science is now tested only through NEET UG.

  • ToELR is not part of this course: ToELR is the test for MBBS admission at AFMC. Some pages still mix the two up.

  • No official section split: The share of reasoning and English questions in ToGIGE has not been published, so prepare both evenly.

Older pages may still show Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers in the army nursing entrance test, so follow the current notification.

Psychological assessment and interview

There is no written syllabus for either stage. The psychological assessment looks at personality and suitability for military nursing. The interview usually covers your Class 12 subjects, current affairs, the MNS and the armed forces, your hobbies and your reasons for choosing the service. Clear, honest answers matter more than prepared speeches.

How to cover the syllabus

  1. Months before NEET UG: Finish NEET concepts subject by subject, with weekly tests. Add 20 minutes a day of English reading and vocabulary.

  2. After NEET UG: Shift to ToGIGE. Spend the first two weeks on reasoning basics and grammar rules, then move to topic tests.

  3. Two to four weeks before screening: Take timed 40-question, 30-minute sets every other day and keep an error log of the question types you miss.

  4. Final week: Revise your error log, practise interview answers aloud and prepare your documents.
