Assam Police SI Cut Off: Previous Year Marks Guide
The Assam Police SI cut-off is the lowest written test score that got candidates called for the physical stage in each category. The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, shortlists candidates for PET and PST at 5 times the posts in each category, so the cut-off depends heavily on how many posts are on offer. The latest available figures are from the written test held on 5 January 2025, with results declared on 6 March 2025.
This page lists those reported cut-offs for Sub Inspector (UB), explains what moves the cut-off and shows how to set a target for the next written test. Check the official SLPRB website for the next exam date.
Assam Police SI (UB) Cut Off 2025: Written Test
Marks are out of 100. These figures are as reported by preparation sites after the March 2025 result; we have not checked them against the official SLPRB result PDF.

One source reports lower cut-offs for women, for example 55 for Unreserved and 51 for OBC/MOBC, while another shows the same figures for men and women. Treat the female figures as unconfirmed until you check the official result.
Other posts in the same test (male, reported)

Cut-offs change every cycle with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants. Treat these figures as a benchmark only, and aim for a clear margin above them rather than a bare pass.
What Affects the Assam Police SI Cut Off
Number of posts: The 2025 test filled 144 SI (UB) posts. The December 2025 advertisement has 48. With shortlisting at 5 times the posts, fewer posts mean fewer PET places in each category.
Category and gender split: Some categories had only 1 or 2 posts in the latest advertisement, so their shortlist is very small.
Paper difficulty: A harder paper usually lowers the cut-off, and an easier one raises it.
Negative marking: With 0.5 mark deducted per wrong answer, careless attempts pull scores down across the board.
The Written Cut-off Is Only the First Hurdle
Clearing the written cut-off gets you to the PET and PST. The final merit is out of 150 marks: written test 100, PET 40, viva 5 and NCC up to 5. A candidate just above the written cut-off can still miss selection if the PET score is low, and a strong PET can lift a moderate written score.
How to Set Your Target
Aim above the last cut-off: Use the 2025 figure for your category as the floor and set your mock target well above it.
Track accuracy: Measure your net score after negative marking, not just the number of correct answers.
Plan for PET marks: Time your 1600 m or 800 m run and long jump against the PET scale on the Assam Police SI exam pattern page.
Cover Assam history fully: It is one of only three subject groups, as the Assam Police SI syllabus shows.
To check where you stand against these benchmarks, you can take full-length online tests on Testkart with negative marking and compare your net score after each attempt.
