Assam Police SI Syllabus: Written Test Guide
The Assam Police SI syllabus covers three subject groups in a 100-mark objective written test: logical reasoning, aptitude and English comprehension; history and culture of Assam and India; and general knowledge. The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, set out these groups in its advertisement of 12 December 2025 for Sub Inspector (UB) and related posts.
SLPRB names the groups in its notification but does not publish a topic-wise syllabus or a fixed number of questions for each group. The topic lists below are built from the official groups and the areas usually tested in state police SI exams. Use them as a working checklist, not as an official list.

Is There a Syllabus for PET and Viva?
PET has no written syllabus. It is a 1600 m race and long jump for men, and an 800 m race and long jump for women, scored out of 40. The viva-voce carries 5 marks, and the advertisement does not list topics for it. Expect questions on your background, Assam and current events, and prepare to speak clearly about why you want to join the police.
