LIC AAO Eligibility 2026: Age Limit, Qualification and Relaxation
LIC AAO eligibility depends on three things: your educational qualification, your age on the cut-off date and your nationality. For the Generalist post, a bachelor's degree in any discipline and an age of 21 to 30 years were required in the latest verified cycle, with relaxation for reserved categories. Specialist posts add professional qualifications and, for some posts, work experience.
This page uses the 2025 recruitment notification of the Life Insurance Corporation of India, the latest cycle we could verify. We could not confirm a new notification for the next cycle, so the age cut-off date, vacancy-linked rules and qualification deadlines for the next exam may differ. Always check the official notification before applying.

Result date: Candidates generally need the degree result declared by the cut-off date in the notification. Proof of result is checked at the interview and document verification stage.

Age Limit and Relaxation
Age is counted as on a fixed date in the notification. In the 2025 cycle that date was 1 August 2025.
Most posts: 21 to 30 years, which means born between 2 August 1995 and 1 August 2004, both dates included.
AAO (Legal): 21 to 32 years, which means born between 2 August 1993 and 1 August 2004, both dates included.
In the next cycle the reference date will move, so recalculate your age against the new notification. Candidates should keep their matriculation or equivalent certificate ready, since the date of birth on it is normally treated as final.
