MP High Court Assistant Grade 3 Cut-Off 2026: Qualifying Marks and Targets

The MP High Court Assistant Grade 3 cut-off works differently at each stage. In the online preliminary exam, the cut-off is the last mark at which candidates are shortlisted for the Hindi typing test in each category. In the typing test, the High Court sets fixed minimum qualifying percentages, and the final merit is then drawn up category-wise for the 1,174 posts under Advertisement No. 614/Pariksha/2026.

The High Court publishes results, select lists and waiting lists on its website, but we could not find an officially published category-wise cut-off table for earlier Assistant Grade-3 recruitments. Figures you see elsewhere are usually expected or estimated, not official. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, so treat any figure as a benchmark only and aim for a clear margin above it.

Previous Cut-Offs: What Is Official

The last comparable cycle was the District Court Establishment examination of 2021, which had 910 Assistant Grade-3 posts and 21 Assistant Grade-3 (English Knowing) posts. The High Court notified its final select and waiting lists on 13 August 2023 and held counselling for district allotment after that.

  • No official cut-off table found: we could not verify any category-wise cut-off marks published by the High Court for that cycle.

  • Different structure: the 2021 cycle used a different skill stage and section split, so its figures would not compare directly with the 2026 pattern anyway.

  • Estimates elsewhere: some pages show expected cut-off ranges. These are estimates and should not be read as official figures.

When the 2026 preliminary result is declared, check whether the High Court publishes category-wise cut-off marks alongside it on the Recruitment and Results page: https://mphc.gov.in/recruitment-results

What Affects the Cut-Off

  • Vacancies per category: with ST at 236 posts and EWS at 118, the shortlist size differs sharply by category, and so does the closing mark.

  • Number of applicants: the age limit of up to 45 for many categories and the open-to-all-states rule widen the applicant pool.

  • Paper difficulty and shifts: with exam dates on 23 and 25 November 2026, difficulty can vary across shifts.

  • Negative marking: the advertisement as reproduced does not state negative marking; if there is none, more attempts usually push the cut-off up.

  • OBC provisional posts: a share of OBC posts is kept provisional because of a pending case, which can affect how OBC results are declared.

How to Set Your Target Score

  1. Prelims target: since the exam carries one mark per question and five equal sections, aim for steady scores across all five rather than a high score in two. In full mocks, track your total and your weakest section together.

  2. Typing target: do not aim for the minimum. Aim to finish 350 words within 10 minutes with very few errors and minimal Backspace use, so that your marks stay well above 27.5 out of 50 whatever your category.

  3. Benchmark with mocks: compare your mock scores with others attempting the same test to see where you stand, and treat that rank as more useful than any estimated cut-off.
