MP Police Constable Eligibility 2026: Age, Qualification

MP Police Constable eligibility for the 2026 cycle is set by the rulebook that the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) released on 9 September 2026 for 7,500 Constable (General Duty) posts. Candidates need Class 10 (Class 8 for Scheduled Tribe candidates), must be 18 to 33 years old as on 6 October 2026 before relaxation, and must meet the physical standards.

Age is counted on 6 October 2026, the last date of the application window. This page covers the qualification, the age limits and relaxations, domicile rules, physical and medical conditions, and the most common reasons candidates are found ineligible.

The rulebook does not set a minimum percentage in Class 10, and a higher qualification such as Class 12 or graduation is not required.

Age limit and relaxation

The minimum age is 18 years and the base maximum is 33 years, counted as on 6 October 2026. The upper limit rises for several groups of Madhya Pradesh candidates:

  • No relaxation for: Contract or honorary staff, local body employees, and employees of the central government or other states.

Check the exact relaxation that applies to you in the official rulebook on the MPESB rulebook page, because the list has more conditions than any summary can show.
