NHM Rajasthan Nursing Officer Study Notes
Section-wise note-making plan for the NHM Rajasthan Nursing Officer exam, with revision tips.
Good NHM Rajasthan Nursing Officer study notes follow the exam scheme, not a textbook order. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) paper has 450 marks in five sections, and 270 of those marks test nursing topics up to GNM level. Notes that mirror these sections save time in the last weeks and make revision measurable.
This page shows what to include in each section, how to organise short notes, and how to schedule revision. The section list comes from RSSB advertisement No. 01/2025 for the Contractual Nurse (NHM) post.
What to Include in Your Notes
Section | Marks | What your notes should hold |
|---|---|---|
Professional nursing (GNM level) | 270 | One set of notes per subject: anatomy and physiology, nursing foundations, community health, child health, nutrition, medical-surgical nursing and midwifery. Add labelled diagrams, normal values and drug and procedure steps. |
National Health Mission and RMNCH+A | 45 | A programme sheet for each scheme: aim, target group, services and key terms. Add a one-page timeline of RCH, RMNCH+A, Ayushman Bharat, MDGs and SDGs. |
General knowledge and current affairs | 45 | Rajasthan facts in one place: geography, Panchayati Raj, national movement events. Add monthly current affairs notes. |
English and Hindi | 45 | Rule cards for tenses, narration, voice and prepositions, plus Hindi sandhi, samas and muhavare lists. |
Computers | 45 | A glossary of devices, operating system terms, MS Office shortcuts and security terms. |
How to Organise Your Notes
Short notes: Keep each topic to one page, with headings, bullets and a small table where it helps. A page you can revise in five minutes is more useful than a long chapter.
Formula and value sheets: Keep one sheet for normal ranges, immunisation schedule points, growth milestones, nutrition values and common abbreviations.
Error log: After each test, write down every question you got wrong or skipped, with the correct answer and the reason. Review this log every week.
Monthly current affairs notes: Write 10 to 15 lines on India, Rajasthan and health news each month, and revise the last 12 months before the exam.
Revision Schedule
Same day: Read the notes you made for 10 minutes before you sleep.
Weekly: Revise the week's topics and attempt a short test on them.
Monthly: Revise all completed subjects and update current affairs notes.
Last four weeks: Revise only short notes, value sheets and the error log, and give most of your time to full-length tests.
