Rajasthan VDO Cut-Off 2025: Category-wise Marks for Non-TSP and TSP

The Rajasthan VDO cut-off is the lowest score at which a candidate in a given category and area was shortlisted after the Gram Vikas Adhikari written exam. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) releases it with the result, separately for Non-Scheduled Area (Non-TSP) and Scheduled Area (TSP) posts, and for sub-categories such as women, widows and ex-servicemen.

The figures below are from the 2025 cycle (Advertisement 03/2025, 850 posts), released with the result on 19 December 2025. They are out of 200 marks. Cut-offs change every year with difficulty, vacancies and the number of applicants, so treat them as a benchmark only and aim for a clear margin above them.

"Not listed" means no figure appears for that sub-category in the published list. RSSB's list also gives separate figures for candidates with disabilities; see the official result notice for those rows. These are the marks at which candidates were shortlisted for the application-cum-scrutiny form and document verification. The final selection list, released in June 2026, can close at slightly different marks after verification.

What the 2025 Cut-Off Tells You

  • Very high accuracy needed: The Non-TSP General cut-off of 166.5399 is above 83 percent of the maximum. Even the MBC and EWS General figures are close to 160.

  • Small gaps between categories: General, OBC and EWS cut-offs were within about 5 marks of each other in the Non-TSP area. Do not plan around a large category advantage.

  • TSP runs lower: TSP cut-offs were about 17 to 28 marks lower than Non-TSP for the same main category. TSP posts have their own merit list, so candidates eligible for them compete in a separate pool.

  • Horizontal categories differ widely: Widow and ex-servicemen cut-offs were far lower. These are horizontal reservations within each category, so they are filled from a much smaller pool of eligible candidates.

The 2021 cycle used a preliminary and a main exam with a different structure, so its cut-offs are not directly comparable with the 2025 single-paper scale.

What Affects the VDO Cut-Off

  • Paper difficulty: An easier paper pushes cut-offs up, as the 2025 figures show.

  • Vacancies: A larger vacancy count in the next cycle would normally lower the cut-off, but only if the number of applicants does not rise in proportion.

  • CET-qualified pool: Only CET qualifiers can apply, so the size of the qualifying pool shapes competition.

  • Area and category split: Non-TSP and TSP lists are separate, and each category and sub-category has its own seats.

  • Evaluation rules: RSSB's March 2026 change to OMR evaluation, under which the paper is evaluated as a single unit, may affect how scores are spread in the next cycle.

How to Set Your Target Score

For a Non-TSP General or OBC candidate, a target of about 170 to 175 out of 200 in full-length mocks gives a margin above the 2025 cut-off. Adjust the target for your category and area using the tables above, and keep a margin of at least 5 to 10 marks.

  1. Set a section-wise floor: Aim for 26 or more in each 30-mark section and 17 or more in each 20-mark section.

  2. Watch your wrong answers: At 1.25 marks per question, every wrong answer costs about 0.42 marks. Ten wrong answers cost over 4 marks.

  3. Measure against the benchmark: Compare each mock score with the cut-off for your category and track the gap over time.
