MP Board 12th Mock Test 2027: Online Practice Papers in the Board Pattern
Subject-wise and full-length practice for the MPBSE Class 12 exam starting 17 February 2027.
An MP Board 12th mock test lets you rehearse the real thing: a 3-hour paper that opens with objective questions and moves to short and long answers, with no negative marking. The 2027 theory exams start on 17 February 2027, and for the 2026-27 session the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has shifted towards more concept and application questions. Knowing the chapters is not enough; you also need speed, structure and accuracy under time.
This page explains which kinds of tests to take, when to take them, how to analyse them, and the benchmarks worth tracking from now until the exam.
Types of Tests
Test type | What it covers | When to take it |
|---|---|---|
Chapter-wise test | One chapter, objective and short answers | Right after finishing each chapter |
Unit or section test | A group of related chapters, such as electrostatics or partnership accounts | November and December |
Objective-only drill | Multiple choice, fill in the blanks, true or false, matching | Twice a week throughout |
Full-length mock | The complete paper in board format, 3 hours | Weekly from January |
Previous year paper | Actual MP Board papers from recent years | December to February |
Practise in the Current Pattern
Theory marks: 70 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography; 80 in languages and most Commerce and Arts subjects.
Question mix: compulsory objective section, then very short, short and long answers, most with internal choice.
Time: 3 hours, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in the 2027 schedule.
Scoring: no negative marking; step marks for method and diagrams.
How to Use Mock Tests: A Phased Plan
October to November: one or two chapter-wise tests a week per main subject, plus objective drills.
December: unit tests and your first previous year papers; start an error log.
January to mid-February: one full-length mock per main subject each week, taken from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
During the exams: use the gaps in the time table for one timed paper before each subject, for example the days before Mathematics on 16 March 2027.
How to Analyse a Mock
Wrong answers: note whether the cause was a concept gap, a formula slip or a misread question.
Slow answers: find the long answers that took more than 2 minutes per mark.
Skipped but solvable: mark questions you could have attempted for step marks.
Presentation: check diagrams, units and headings; these earn marks in subjective answers.
Benchmarks to Track
Benchmark | Target |
|---|---|
Objective section accuracy | 90% or more |
Paper completion | All questions attempted with 10 to 15 minutes to review |
Score in mocks | 70% or more for a safe First Division margin |
Theory minimum | Never below 23 out of 70 or 26 out of 80 in any subject |
Common Mistakes
Testing too late: starting full mocks only in February leaves no time to fix weak chapters.
Skipping analysis: a mock without review is only half useful.
Ignoring weaker subjects: one failed theory paper means failing that subject, whatever your total.
Untimed practice: board papers reward speed as well as knowledge.
