MP Board 12th Syllabus 2027: Subject-wise Chapters for Science, Commerce and Arts

The MP Board 12th syllabus for the 2027 exam is the 2026-27 curriculum published by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE). For most Science, Commerce and Social Science subjects the board follows NCERT Class 12 textbooks, while Hindi, Sanskrit and some other subjects use MP Board textbooks. Theory exams start on 17 February 2027, so the syllabus should be finished by the end of December to leave time for practice papers.

This page lists the chapters by subject, points out where to start, and gives a week-by-week plan. MPBSE publishes the 2026-27 curriculum and subject-wise marking schemes in the Academics section of its website. The chapter lists below follow the NCERT textbooks the board prescribes. Use them as a working checklist, and confirm any change against the official curriculum PDF.

Key Changes to Know for 2026-27

  • Revised question format: for 2026-27 the board moved towards more concept and application questions, and published fresh subject-wise marking schemes. Practise explaining and applying ideas, not just memorising answers.

  • Same curriculum base: the change is to the question style, not a switch to another board's syllabus. NCERT chapters remain the base for most subjects.

  • Older lists: some pages still show reduced or "deleted" syllabus lists from earlier sessions. Follow the 2026-27 curriculum instead.

Language papers are often the first scored papers in the time table, on 23 and 26 February 2027, so do not leave them for the end.

How to Cover the MP Board 12th Syllabus Before February

  1. Weeks 1 to 6 (October to mid-November): finish pending chapters in your main subjects; make one page of short notes per chapter.
