RSMSSB, which now issues its notices as the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), fills most Group C posts through two exams. You first clear the Common Eligibility Test (CET), and then you compete in a separate main exam for the post you want, such as Patwari or Clerk Grade-II. An RSMSSB mock test helps at both steps, because both papers use the same five-option OMR format with negative marking.
Under the revised board calendar, the CET Senior Secondary Level 2026 is scheduled for 1 to 3 December 2026 and the Graduate Level for 16 to 18 January 2027. These dates are tentative, so keep checking official notices. This page explains which mocks to take, the pattern to practise in and how to turn each test into better marks.
Types of RSMSSB Mock Tests
Test type | What it covers | When to take it |
|---|---|---|
Topic-wise tests | One topic, such as Rajasthan history or percentages | While you are learning that topic |
Sectional tests | One subject area under a time limit | After you finish a subject |
Full-length CET mocks | The complete Graduate or Senior Secondary Level paper | In the last six to eight weeks |
Post-wise mocks | The main exam pattern of a post, such as Patwari or Clerk Grade-II | After you qualify the CET |
Previous year papers | Real questions set by the board | Throughout your preparation |
The Pattern Your Mocks Should Follow
Paper size: The Graduate Level CET has 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. The Senior Secondary Level CET has 120 questions for 240 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes.
Negative marking: Each question carries 2 marks, and one-third of that is deducted for every wrong answer.
Option E: Each question has a fifth option for "not attempted". Leaving a question fully blank is penalised, and leaving more than 10 percent blank leads to disqualification.
Qualifying mark: You need 40 percent to become eligible for main exams, with up to 5 percent relaxation for SC and ST candidates.
Older pages may still show the 12th-level CET as a 150-question paper, so make sure your full-length mocks follow the 2026 notification.
How to Use RSMSSB Mock Tests
Build the base: Take topic-wise tests two or three times a week while covering Rajasthan GK, mathematics and reasoning.
Add speed: Move to timed sectional tests once a subject is complete, aiming for steady accuracy before speed.
Simulate the exam: In the final six to eight weeks, attempt one or two full-length mocks a week at the real exam time, filling option E as you would on the OMR sheet.
How to Analyse Each Mock
Wrong answers: Note whether the error came from a concept gap, a careless slip or a risky guess.
Slow questions: Mark questions that took over two minutes and practise faster methods for them.
Skipped but solvable: Revisit skipped questions you could have answered. These are often the easiest marks to recover.
