RSMSSB Syllabus 2026: CET Graduate and Senior Secondary Topics
The RSMSSB syllabus has two layers. The first is the Common Eligibility Test (CET), conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB, earlier RSMSSB) at Graduate Level and Senior Secondary Level. The second is the main exam of each post, such as Patwari, Clerk Grade-II or Forest Guard, which has its own syllabus printed in that post's advertisement.
This page gives the complete topic list for both CET levels as prescribed for the 2026 cycle, shows how the two levels differ, summarises the main-exam subjects of popular posts, and ends with a study plan you can follow before the December 2026 and January 2027 CET dates. Two changes matter most this year: the Senior Secondary paper is now shorter, and new topics on public health and civic duty have been added to both levels.

Key Changes to Know in 2026
Shorter Senior Secondary paper: The 12th-level CET now has 120 questions for 240 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes. Older pages still show 150 questions and 3 hours, so follow the 2026 notification.
Public Health is a new area: Basics of first aid, CPR, types of drug abuse and their prevention, physical and mental fitness of youth, and health risks of social media addiction now appear at both levels.
Civic duty and exam law: Fundamental duties, moral values and the salient provisions of the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2022 are part of current affairs.
Wider computer syllabus at Graduate Level: Cyber security, e-services and Artificial Intelligence are listed along with operating systems, internet and MS Office.
New scheme names in economy: The Senior Secondary economy section names MGNREGA and the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin), so revise current rural employment schemes.
Score validity: A CET score is now valid for three years, which makes a high score more valuable than a bare pass.

Which Topics to Start With
Rajasthan GK: History, culture, geography, polity and economy of Rajasthan run through every RSMSSB paper. It is the single biggest block, and most of it is factual, so steady revision pays off.
Arithmetic and reasoning: Percentage, ratio, profit and loss, time and work, series and blood relations come up at both levels. These questions reward daily practice more than reading.
Hindi and English grammar: संधि, समास, शुद्धि, tenses, voice and narration are predictable and quick to solve, which saves time for harder questions.
New topics: Public health and the Unfair Means Act are short to learn and likely to be asked because they are new.
How to Cover the RSMSSB Syllabus
With the Senior Secondary CET on 1 to 3 December 2026 and the Graduate CET on 16 to 18 January 2027 (both tentative), a phased plan helps you finish the syllabus with time left for mocks.
Weeks 1 to 3, foundation: Rajasthan history, culture and geography, Indian polity basics, arithmetic concepts and Hindi grammar. Make short notes for every topic you finish.
Weeks 4 to 5, second layer: Economy, science, computer and English. Start 30 minutes of current affairs a day with a focus on Rajasthan schemes and budget announcements.
Week 6, new topics and topic tests: Public health, civic duty and the Unfair Means Act. Take 20 to 25 question topic tests for each finished subject.
Final weeks, full-length practice: Take full mocks in the exact time limit, analyse each one the same day, and revise from an error log of wrong facts and slow question types.
The official syllabus annexures are published with each notification on the RSSB website.
